Description

Which Side is an action arcade game where your motor coordination skills are tested to the limit. You hear a sound in your left, right or both ears and have to guess from Which Side it came, to press the right button. In the classic game mode, the goal is to score the maximum amount of points without making any mistake. In the Genius game mode, you hear a sequence of sounds and have to memorize and repeat it.

History

Which Side idea came up when a friend of mine threw me a bottle of water shouting “Patrick, Catch it!” while I was distracted. I had to turn fast enough to catch the bottle, but I couldn’t. Then, I tought to myself: “Wow! Wouldn’t it be amazing if I had a game to improve my reflex skills?”. Picked up my notebook from my backpack and started to sketch. One year later, after learning Art, Design, some strange coding stuff (a lot of coffee and sleepless nights), the dream became reality.
My name is Patrick Pissurno, I’m from Brazil and I’m 17. I study at NAVE (a technical school where we learn how to code and make games) and I really like to create stuff. From games and apps to backend development. I like to think of myself as an one-man army. Not because I’m good at every part of a project, but because I like every single one of them (except fixing bugs… lol). I did every single piece of Which Side. From the sketchs to the release. I’m very happy.

Features

  • Minimalist and monochromatic art-style
  • Unique gameplay based on the combination of hearing and motor coordination
  • Realtime, truly synced, game-based music system
  • Multiple game modes (mini-games)
  • Easy to learn and addictive gameplay
